Mr. Fennessy is an Irish trained Ear Nose and Throat (ENT) specialist. Having completed an undergraduate degree in Biotechnology at Dublin City University, he studied medicine at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, graduating in 2002.

During his extensive ENT training, he has worked, trained and studied at various centres nationally and internationally, including Paediatric ENT at Children’s Hospital Boston.

In 2012 he was awarded a Master of Degree of Doctor (MD) from University College Cork in 2012 for research in basic fibroblast growth factor in head and neck cancer.

Mr. Fennessy is trained in all aspects of ear, nose and throat conditions. He spent one year completing sub-specialist fellowship training in the field of Rhinology at TUFTS University in Boston. Under the care of Professor Peter Catalano, he has gained considerable experience in the management of patients with all nasal/sinus conditions and surgical management of sleep apnoea (adults and children).

Upon completion of his fellowship training, he worked as an ENT consultant at Eastern Maine Medical Centre, Maine, USA for three years before returning to Ireland in 2017.

Currently, Mr. Fennessy sees both adult and paediatric patients as a publicly appointed ENT consultant at Tallaght University Hospital (TUH), with private rooms also at TUH and the Beacon Hospital. A referral letter from a General Practitioner or other consultant specialist is required for appointments.
